The Bavarian Forest is a natural paradise. It is a perfect destination for those who admire nature and its beauty. The Bavarian Forest National Park is the largest natural park in Germany, found in 1970 it is mostly wooded. In the park you will come across 350km of hiking trails, 200km of cycling paths and 80km of trails for cross-country skiing. Here you can breathe fresh air among the magnificent and old fir trees.
The fantastic landscape has stayed uncontaminated and preserved its beauty even today. The Bavarian Forest has a unique area and thanks to its landscape, it is an ideal destination not only for adventurers and hikers, but also for those who just want to relax and take a break from everyday life. There are numerous activities in which one can take part – play golf, go mountain biking, water skiing, and much more. There is something for everyone, and if you are not into sports, you can try local delicacies or relax in a spa with a breathtaking view. Also, mountaineers will not be disappointed since there are peaks with more than 1000 meters. Some of the well-known mountains include the Großer Arber, the Großer Rachel and the Lusen.
