Soulful moments in the Salzburg region

The HOCHKÖNIGIN****S in Maria Alm is no ordinary hotel.
It is a mountain resort that combines alpine elegance with modern design and genuine hospitality.
Nestled between the peaks of the Hochkönig, it is a place full of lightness, style and warmth – run by the Hörl family, whose flair for aesthetics and atmosphere can be felt in every detail.

The rooms and suites at the HOCHKÖNIGIN combine clean lines, fine materials and a finely tuned colour scheme.
Warm fabrics, stylish accents and harmonious lighting create an ambience that conveys both comfort and elegance.
Each room tells its own story – unique, modern and with a touch of luxury that is never intrusive.

Enjoyment with provenance

At the HOCHKÖNIGIN restaurant, regionality is a top priority.
Many ingredients come from our own Ebengut organic farm or from selected producers in the Salzburg region.
The kitchen team combines Alpine classics with modern sophistication – authentic, creative, tasteful.
A 6-course gourmet menu in the evening, accompanied by fine wines or a signature cocktail at the HIGH QUEEN BAR, rounds off the day in style.

Summer & winter in Maria Alm

Its location in the Hochkönig holiday region makes the resort an ideal starting point for every season.
In summer, 340 kilometres of hiking trails, panoramic trails, climbing routes and the Hochkönig Card with free mountain railway rides beckon.

In winter, you can start your skiing holiday directly from the hotel – ski in & ski out on 140 kilometres of slopes, complemented by winter hiking trails, cross-country ski trails and toboggan runs.
Nature, exercise and relaxation come together here to form a harmonious whole.

Maria Alm

The village of Maria Alm is located in Austria, in the district of Zell am See, in the Salzburger Land. The village of Maria Alm is framed by the Steinernes Meer and the imposing Hochkönig mountain massif and thus offers a magnificent mountain panorama. Together with the villages of Hinterthal, Dienten and Mühlbach, Maria Alm forms a huge ski area with 112 km of sunny, yet extremely snowy slopes. The "Hochkönig" ski area is an ideal winter holiday destination especially for families. There are also numerous cross-country ski trails of all levels of difficulty, which offer the possibility of hiking through a beautiful landscape. The symbol of the village of Maria Alm is its beautiful church located in the centre of the village, which represents not only a witness of faith, but also a piece of history. The small cemetery that surrounds it contains the graves of soldiers who died defending their country.

You won't be bored in the evening at Maria Alm either. Numerous cafés such as the "Dorfstadl" will welcome you to end the day in a convivial atmosphere. Everything you find here will make your holiday unique.
