There are countless activities on offer ranging from climbing, mountain biking and trekking to explore the unique natural landscape of the Kitzbühel Alps. Or you can decide to ride the new Alpine Coaster, the Lauser Sauser, which descends into the valley at up to 40 km per hour, or use the cable cars to reach the Wiedersberger Horn and the Reither Kagel, from where you can enjoy wonderful views. In winter, skiing and snowboarding are available on 109 km of spacious and easily accessible slopes. But it is also possible to go on simple hikes and walks in the snow. When you are back from your activities, our chef Hannes Treichl and his team await you with their gourmet cuisine and tasty, healthy specialties. The purpose is to offer regional, healthy, fresh and varied specialties. For this reason, three different menus are created every day to satisfy the tastes of all guests: an Alpine menu, an international menu and a vegetarian menu.

Alpbach

Alpbach

Holidays in the most beautiful village in Austria

The town of Alpbach, amid the Kitzbühel Alps and the Rofan Mountains in Tyrol at 1.000 meters above sea level, is considered due to the uniformly built wooden houses and the floridity to be the "most beautiful village in Austria".

The idyllic and authentic ambience contributes to a memorable and relaxing holiday. During winter, you can use the tenth largest ski resort of Tyrol, skiing in the ski jewel Alpbachtal Wildschönau or making yourself comfortable in one of the 25 huts. End your adventurous day of skiing in one of the numerous après skis.

If you need a break from skiing there are many other sports like tobogganing on the safe toboggan run in Alpbach Luegergraben or you can let off steam while ski touring, cross-country skiing or horse sleigh rinding.

An absolute must during winter season is a visit to Rattenberg, the smallest town in Austria. Feel like being brought back in time while admiring the city, illuminated by candlelight and open fireplaces and enjoy a little bit of Christmas spirit.

During summer, Alpbach is known among other things for the International European Forum Alpbach that deals with interdisciplinary issues and takes place annually since 1945 in August. Furthermore, mountain climbing, hiking, paragliding or just relaxing should be a fixture for your vacation plans.

Alpbach has also a rich culinary offer: Have your culinary instincts indulged in the traditional huts by traditional tyrolean dishes such as dumplings, apple strudel and “Kaiserschmarrn” and visit the farmers market in the nearby Brixlegg, which takes place every month and where among other things you should  taste the "Alpbach Heumilchkäse".
