Seefeld

A holiday in the olimpic region

Moreover Seefeld is situated almost at the frontier with Germany. The village is characterized by modern, but anyhow typical Tyrolean hotels and a vast range of leisure time activities. Therefore Seefeld ranks among the biggest and most popular holiday resorts of the province. In winter Seefeld offers many attractions for all age classes. The municipality is marked not only by 14 kilometers of ski slopes, but also by 266 km of cross-country ski runs, which are groomed every day. In 2007 Seefeld was awarded as “best cross-country ski area” and won the first price in the category “excellent cross-country ski trails”. In addition to skiing and cross-country skiing fun in the environs of Seefeld you can make also dreamlike snowshoe hikes with breathtaking views to the mountains of Tyrol. Furthermore there are provided horse drawn sledge rides, curling, ice skating and one of the most beautiful sauna zones throughout the alpine region. Of course, Seefeld is a recommendable destination not only during the winter months, also in summer there are available many interesting offers. You breathe the fresh mountain air, disengage yourself from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and feel relaxed and free. About 650 km of marked hiking trails and fixed rope routes, awarded a seal of approval, and more than 60 refuges and alpine huts permit varied hiking experiences. Bicycle tours and golf courses are available, too. And if the weather is bad you can visit the well worth seeing city Innsbruck or make a shopping tour through the fashion stores of Seefeld.
