The picturesque village of St. Pancras is located in one of Monferrato valleys, where nature is still untouched, the Val d'Ultimo.

Lush nature, understated beauty, idyllic villages, groups of farms, steep slopes and mountain peaks: these words best describe the valley, which extends from the massive glaciers of the Stelvio National Park to the south up to Lana, near Merano. S. Pancrazio is the first resort of Val d'Ultimo, and is known for its "Häusl am Stuan" (little house on the rock). This bizarre structure has survived the 1882 flood because it is built on a block of stone. The strength of the weather, however, was strong enough to sweep away everything else that was around the house! Wacky, no? But true ... and certainly to see! The proximity to the spa town of Merano makes possible a wonderful trip to this center, which, with its cozy and historic streets, makes each visit fascinating and unforgettable. And to end the day, we recommend a cappuccino break in the town square! In fall, when the leaves turn into yellow, the days get shorter and the nights get longer, the comfortable, rustic Törggelestuben (a term that indicates a traditional Sout Tyrolean dinner, during which rustic dishes are accompanied by grilled chestnuts and new wine) invite to a pleasant night out with friends. In spring and summer, S. Pancrazio is transformed into a beautiful hiking area. Wide paths and challenging mountain routes are available for every enthusiast! Over 700 km of well marked paths, plenty of rest spots in mountain huts or in the Hills, lecture and instructive special tracks will change every summer holiday in Val d'Ultimo to an extraordinary experience in close contact with nature, dynamic and memorable. Since the summer of 2009, the valley offers something new: the cable car of the hut Guazza - Val d'Ultimo, which in 8 minutes takes all nature lovers from Pracupola to an ideal starting point for wonderful hikes. In winter Guazza, with its 18.5 kilometers of carefully prepared trails, is transformed into a ski area particularly suitable for families. Although many well known international sport athletes train here, this region is little known because only suggested in confidence.
To every fan are available up to 25 km of trails for cross country skiing, sledge hockey and skating.
