The Ladin village Corvara submontane the 2,665 metres high „Sassongher“ is one of five Ladin communes in Val Badia. The hamlet with its 1.307 citizens is a starting point for two mountain passes which lead on the one hand to the Gardena Pass and on the other hand to the Campolongo Pass.

 Because of its outstanding infrastructure the village is also a popular destination for vacation in South Tyrol. Both in summer and winter the commune’s surroundings offer manifold sport and leisure time facilities. If you are a winter sportive person the famous Sella Ronda will be the fulfilling of your dreams! Moreover you’ve got 130 km slopes right on the doorstep and an unbelievable view over the dolomites- skier’s heart, what more do you desire?! Of course friends of Nordic skiing can also look forward to their winter holidays in South Tyrol! Close to Corvara you’ll find excellent prepared cross-country ski runs which guide you around the Sella-Massif. In the summertime Corvara attracts its visitors with comprehensive active offers for holidays in South Tyrol. Highlight of the bike-season is the yearly “Dolomites Bike Marathon” (147 km) with about 7,000 participators. The numerous bicycle tracks open up to you for dreamlike bicycle tours. Furthermore a lot of mountaineers and climbers come to Corvara every summer to spend their hiking holidays in the Dolomites. Recently a 9-hole golf course opened its doors. It is opened every year from June to September. In the winter it’s used as a ski run.
