Due to its location in the natural park “Adamello-Brenta” Andalo is one of the most popular destinations for hiking holidays in Trentino. The village is situated in a height of more than 1,000 metres above sea level; therefore it is an ideal starting point for hikes through the Brenta-Dolomites whose summits reach an altitude of up to 3,200 metres. A quite long, but not very difficult tour leads to the 2,125 metres high Mt. Paganella. From the summits around Andalo you will have a breathtaking panoramic view, including Lake Garda in the south and Mt. Ortler in the north. If you rather prefer unhurried excursions you should take one of the cable cars in order to reach the mountains or make a relaxed walk through the natural park. Lake Andalo, idyllically located next to the village, is also a popular place of excursions, embedded in a picturesque landscape with green grasslands, deep forests and fantastic mountain panorama. Of course, the paths and routes around Andalo offer many opportunities to exercise your favourite sports, too. Especially mountain bikers will get their money’s worth cycling through the surrounding mountains. Last but not least Andalo is suitable for riding holidays in Trentino, too.
Due to its good connections to many skiing regions Andalo is a very popular destination also in winter. The local skiing area Paganella provides a vast range of winter sports: 50 km of ski runs, connected by 25 ski lifts, 10 km of cross-country ski runs and a new ice rink promise various winter holidays in Trentino. Moreover the skiing areas of Latemar, Seiser Alm and Alpe Cermis are not so far.
Obviously, during your holiday in the nice village Andalo also fun, entertainment and nightlife shouldn’t miss out. Therefore it is worthwhile to go out in evening and to explore the many pubs, bars restaurants and clubs.
